Rear Disc Brakes
#1
Hi!

Following on from my Newbie thread, i've wanting more power from my Berlingo.

This'll most likely take form of a 306 GTi6 Engine or a 406 SRi.

Obviously more power means i'm going to want more braking... I've had a look under the car and the beam looks suspiciously similar to a 405 Mi16... Any ideas if these will swap over??

If not, any other ways of doing it?

brembo slotted disks aren`t dear

brembo pads too

should make a nice differance

and pad changeover to a grippy pad for the drums.

I want to convert the rear drums to discs! On a deeper search, Xsara VTS beams fit.

I am planning to covert my brakes, but do these brakes really work well? Does this disc brakes work well with any model?

Car's with a better weight distrubution tend to rely more on their rear brakes. But as i'll be upgrading the fronts, i don't want braking overly biased to the front end.

id strongly disagree with that. perfect braking distribution is 70% front 30% rear.

upgrade the front and thats all you need. the rear drums on berlingos are huge. they really work
also. why are most cars disk front and drum rear?

why do you go through 3 or 4 sets of front pads to 1 rear?

why do motorbikes have big twin front disks and small single rears?
