Hi guys, I'm in the process of buying a 2014 xtr 1.6 airdream 6speed auto with 35000 miles on clock
Any advice or pointers on what to look for would be a great help.

Remember it's got a dry clutch so if your sitting in traffic don't keep it in gear has it will be an early end to your clutch or thrust bearing .

Clutch is quite expensive, I am fitting one on a taxi next week, it has managed about 100k from memory, so quite impressive really.
Berlingo's generally good, just check for rattles when driving, as the repairs can rack up on the front suspension.

When you say  quite expensive what price are we talking about?

The clutch is accompanyed by a dual mass flywheel, so when you change one, you change the other...

Just found out car is a write off (best £20 I have spent) good old HPI worth every penny.
Everytime I buy a car private I always get a car HPI checked to make sure I don't buy a duff one or it's still on tick as once you paid for the vehicle the problems are now yours

Have you ever done one ?
8 hrs labour approx at forum members rate of £40 per hour , normally I charge £50 ph.
I guess a quality clutch & flywheel + electronic thrust bearing will be @£350, couple of litres of gear oil, etc etc brings the cost to about £700 and then vat.
So explain how this can be done for significantly less please ?
