Fuel filter

the only thing i can think of is.......it may be the water in diesel sensor..[try youtude].........they are not fitted as standard.....[ plastic type filter]....otherwise it may be a bracket holding the filter on, which as broken.......[there are two types of fuel filter.. metal can and a plastic] metal can type on left of engine. plastic type on right of engine...depending year and type of engine..

is that left or right as you sit in the van or look under the bonnet ?

The plastic type sits under the airflow meter on the left as your sat in the van, metal with it’s horroble t15 screws anyone that’s done one knows what I mean! Made of chocolate!) sits to the left of centre of the engine, again as your sat in the van... he was speaking looking under the bonnet so backwards to normal left and right ??
