Bluetooth radio
#1
Hi I have a Berlingo plus 2014
The radio cd does not have the option for Bluetooth
Can I buy or swap my radio for a Bluetooth one or do I need to change the head unit also
Thanks

Not sure if this helps, but I have a lead that plugs into my phone as there is a socket in the glove compartment for the aux radio input (assuming you just want to play music)?
Now an ex Berlingo owner, I have a C4

If you buy the Citroen clarion cd player with Bluetooth, you'll need it coded to the car or van.

If you buy an aftermarket one, you won't need that done, but the steering wheel controls, and clock setting etc will no longer work, unless you buy all the connects2 interfaces you need to keep your existing functionality.

Try here: https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk

There is only one unit to take out, the part of the stereo with the buttons on, where you push a cd in, that's the head unit. There is no other part to swap or remove.

I have a similar question , I want to make my radio bluetooth too..but I think I realised that I will lose the function of the clock etc
Is it just as easy to put in another bluetooth radio underneath where there is a slot ...or would this be an issue with the other radio still being there ?

Only one set of plugs to connect the stereo mate. The original controls the car functions via CANBUS which is connected via the original plugs. No way to easily separate them.

You could get a Bluetooth hands free kit that works over FM...

Zion , could you give me just an example of this sort of thing , I am only after being able for my phone to come through the speakers if I am on a call and to be able to bluetooth my iPhone playlists
Im not looking after any major though I would say I might like the idea of future to have parking sensor adaptable ?
I am not as you can see from my post up on tech stuff
Thanks Mike

On my previous (2010 B9 XTR) Multispace I used the "Connects-2" Bluetooth/Hands-Free unit. It locates (hangs) anwhere behind the radio and connects into the (otherwise unused) separate CD multi-changer connection of the standard radio/cassette unit. It was about £80 I remember.

It worked well for me. Some people report needing to get the car re-programmed to "enable" the multi-changer port, I didn't and it worked right out of the box

Several threads about the Connects-2 unit on here or just do a google search.

No worries Mike. Something like this, just plugs in and you tune an empty station on your radio to it;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wireless-Blue...890.l49292

But if you want to see the whole range, search eBay for "
bluetooth fm transmitter hands free"
