Berlingo Factory Alarm Retrofitting advice

Best I could do is a co who seems to have working knowledge of at least supplying them, and also giving advice to their customers:

Even if you bought elsewhere, it may still be worth asking them if they'd sell you photocopied instructions - you might catch them in festive spirit.

This unit also seems to come as either OEM or a fitted option with a range of Citroens, and as an "accessory" with the Partner Tepee (see for example page 21 of this brochure), so for operating instructions it might be worth ploughing through their owner manuals.

I also found this offering which seems to include the paperwork - maybe it'd worth buying it, copying the manuals, and reselling it?

Well, that's what I call a thorough reply! I had spotted the first link during g@@gling and was thinking of emailing them for more info. I like the "festive spirit" angle..... The second link seems to imply it's "fitzall" type of kit, as I've seen it mentioned on one of the C3-4-5 or whatever brochures too.
Totally agree, that last one looks a bit iffy. Prices, product range and contact details all give out some negative vibes.

I liked the look of the alarm in question as it appeared to just plug in. Don't get me wrong. I'm an electrician and completed many soldered joints in cars over the years.... But it's flamin' Winter! I've no garage now! And, I've acquired a 59 year old's aches and pains when working in the damp. So to plug it in and then a bit of Diagbox (if need be) sounds easier!

Thanks again, much appreciated.

Oh well. As one door closes another slams on your fingers!
I spoke with the supplier mentioned in previous messages and not only can they not show me a copy of the manual, but the item is not available until "sometime next year".....

I also spoke with my local Citroen dealership who started off by getting the all prices wrong, told me fitting was included, then told me fitting was extra. They then said they'd not be able to get one and to "try somebody else" or get an aftermarket alarm.

So. 'Tis the season to be jolly unless you want to buy a Citroen Alarm or even worse, you have a faulty one that needs replaced. What's the French for "Bah Humbug"?
