Strange indeed, the standard factory fitted tyres on mine are 215/55x16.

Keep an eye out for me next Monday or Tuesday,I am arriving on Eurotunnel Monday morning to do some shopping in Canterbury and to see my mum in Whitstable, returning home to Belgium Tuesday afternoon.

And in case you're wondering why shopping? Well,if you lived in Belgium then you'd know,it is soooo expensive here now.
Every few months we come over to the UK and do a big shop, even with the cost of fuel and the €60 return fare we still win.Wink

The thlot plickens ( ooh the tool bar dictionary didn't like that).
Whitstable eh? About a month or so ago a group of us parked up near Canterbury university and cycled the old Crab & Winkle route to Whitstable and back, along the old rail track route ,along which one of Stephenson's steam trains carted said crabs, winkles, not forgetting the famous oysters, from Whitstable. Apparently the gradients were too much and they had to install some winding stations to help them. We ended up having fish & chips on the beach, occasionally nipping into the pub for throat lubricants. Will watch out for a Berlingo identical to mine driving on the wrong side of the road. ( at least you only pay £60 - cheapest I can get is a frequent traveller ticket at £39 per one way trip but I have to buy ten trips up front)

I pay 60 euro's,so that's less than £60,but that's only a short stay ticket,here one day,gone the next.
Years ago I used to drive to the UK 2 or 3 times a week with the truck and Eurotunnel used to have a drivers club where you could save points and put towards a ticket. For several years I never even paid to cross with the car Wink:lol:

Mine isn't exactly identical to yours,it's black with chrome mirror's and polished stainless door handles. And of course red and white Belgian plates Smile(See pic in picture of the month competition)

Thanks for uploading Big Grin
Is it me or are the buttons and the cigarette lighter around the other way it looks as if its set up for a left hand drive?!

Would i be right in saying the XTR EGS doesn't have the all road pack with raised suspension.

Hi Philip,

yes- I don't think it has the roadpack, which ,if I'd have done my research more thoroughly and joined this forum earlier, I would have gone for. As it happened ,I took my old Berlingo which was Saharah Gold and much loved but with 92000 on the clock and ,on impulse, went for the one in the showroom, which had the stuff i promised myself on the next car (auto and cruise control) but in a uninspiring blue. The new one appears much lower and I wonder if it will have the same go anywhereability as the old one did. Don't get me wrong - I like the new one and on a 800 mile round trip Folkestone/Blackpool/Folkestone last weekend,it was relaxing to drive and returned 52 mpg ( so the onboard computer told me). I anticipated that I would be doing these longer journey's on a fairly regular basis ,whereas the other had been bought originally as a work vehicle. As to the dash layout I'd assumed that all vehicles made in Europe were basically LHD modified for the U.K but I may be wrong on that. I've just bought 4 steel rims with Nexen Eurowin tyres but have yet to fit them. Several friends have had winter tyres fitted for this winter so that will probably guarantee that Kent will be snow free this year.

This is the set up for the manual you will know this but still interesting to see the difference of the EGS.
