Hi! 

I’ve fitted the cruise control stalk on my 2004 2-litre HDi Multispace but unlike my 2-litre HDi C5, which didn’t have it as standard either, it doesn’t seem to ‘plug and play’ in the same way. Do you know if there’s a fuse for cruise control? Neither Haynes nor the owners handbook mentions a fuse.

It is plug and play, but you need to activate it in Diagbox/Lexia. Have a serach in the forum and there will be threads, e.g. here: https://www.berlingoforum.com/thread-16110.html , although this is for the 1.6HDi rather than 2L, but the activation will be the same.
It is not as plug'n'play as in a USB stick in a computer for example. There is also no fuse per se, the whole thing is part of the COM2000. Also, if your CC stick is with the limiter then if of course you want the limiter option it is a bit different and you need to check the pedals as well.

The CC for a 2.0 is a bit easier than for the 1.6 due to the instrument panel, but Lexia / Diagbox is still needed. There were some posts recently about this, a search should turn them up.

I've waded through the pages and pages but the answer I'm looking for isn't clear. I've switched it on via Lexia but still nothing. I have found a Dutch instrument cluster and bought that, so maybe that will sort it. Still none the wiser though at this point, despite reading all the forum posts, as people seem to have had such vastly different results from their attempts at fitting cruise!

It's worth mentioning that you have to change it in 2 places in Lexia. In the above-linked thread post number 7 has a PDF download that really helped me.

Fundamentally in my 2.0L it was pretty simple:

- Plug in the stalk
- Make the 2 lexia changes
- Cut a hole in the plastic steering wheel shroud

The speed limiter doesn't work, I don't think I have the right pedal switches, but the cruise control works like a charm.

For what it's worth - my instrument cluster has no light or readout for cruise control.

AFAIK, the instrument cluster with CC readout is only needed for the 1.6HDi. The 2L should be OK with the original one.

Have a test with Lexia to see when you press the up/down on the CC stalk if this is shown as been pressed/released, etc. If memory serves correct it was actuator measurements.

Thanks Ben! I'll give this a go. I really appreciate it. New to Berlingos (I've got a 2CV and CX) and new to the wonders of Lexia but I'm getting there.... slowly!   I'll report back in a bit!

It works! Thanks, everyone. I had only activated it on the BSI and not on the injection menu, so it works a treat now. No warning lights or anything.

Having now ordered the instrument pack with cruise display from Holland, plus a UK-spec 206 Automatic instrument pack (so I can transfer the dials over), I will see if I can take it a step further. May as well, since they’re in the post now!

Again, I’ll report back on my findings and will have another dive into the cruise control-related forums here. It is all beginning to make sense to my (amateur) brain now.

That's great news! Personally, I pretty much only ever drive long distances so it's a huge deal.

One thing to note about the instrument cluster - make sure the odometer on the new cluster has fewer miles on it than your current car. Otherwise, I believe the car will 'update' its mileage to the highest number.

If it's a lower mileage, I think the car just keeps the current figure.
