Intermittent Rev & Speed Dials
#1
Hi  Smile, hoping someone can assist please. I have a 2011 1.6 Diesel Berlingo. It's done 80,000 and has always been relatively trouble free and reliable. However, of late, at the start of some journeys (first few minutes), the speed and rev dials all of a sudden drop to 0 for a few seconds before coming back to the correct position. This can occur for a few times within the first few minutes of the journey. I don't notice any other symptoms such as loss of power etc, everything else seems fine. After the few minutes have passed the car drives absolutely fine.

Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated!  Huh

Most obvious is to check all the plugs are properly in on the back of the cluster and on the BSI.

Have you been rooting around behind the glovebox fitting anything? (Stereo, dash cam, etc)

Thanks for the advice - that certainly gives me something to go on, new stereo was fitted 12 months ago and dash about three years ago, this has been happening for approx 2-3 months.

If you don't find anything loose, and remember the BSI is behind the actual glove box, then try the full BSI reset. It's free and may sort things.

Search YouTube for BSI reset and follow it to the letter.
